Abstract

In present study the immediate and long-term therapy results of 14 patients with refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) are analyzed. Treatment program included alemtuzumab alone or in combination with fludarabine.

Abstract

This article summarizes the results of 10 patients (6 men and 4 women) with recurrent non-Hodgkin lymphoma treating with using of rituximab. The diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination with immunohistochemistry. The average patient age was 61.1 years. All patients received from 6 to 8 chemotherapy courses and 8 rituximab injections, no one patient was withdrawn from therapy. Rituximab treatment in combination with chemotherapy was successful in 7 (70 %) of 10 patients. The major therapy response was a high frequency of CR — 40 %, slightly exceeding the rate of PR — 30 %. Rituximab has been used successfully in the treatment of elderly patients without additional toxicity, which makes it possible to use the drug on an outpatient basis.

Abstract

Hodgkin`s Lymphoma (HL) is one of the most curable cancer disease. A half of all patients are young males under 35 years old. Gonadal toxicity is one of the most frequent late effects of HL therapy and associated with significant decrease in patient’s quality of life. In present article frequency and risk factors of gonadal toxicity in males with HL were summarized. It was shown that chemotherapy with alkylating agents and radiotherapy may lead to gonadal toxicity in significant number of patients. Current possibilities of semen cryopreservation before start of the treatment are discussed.

Abstract

In this article a rare case of monosystem form of congenital Langerhans cells histiocytosis (LCH) in 3 weeks of age girl was described. Local lesion of oral mucosa of the infant with LCH was first described. Morphological, immunological and clinical features of this rare disease have been characterized. Authors concluded that timely diagnostics is very important to risk-adapted therapy at children with LCH.

Abstract

New approach for detection of large number of different variants of cell antigen coexpression using the immunological biochip is suggested in this work. Novel construction of immunological biochip for cell investigation with test zones as strips and new special device for incubation are considered. Examples of cell analysis are given. Results are compared with data of investigation where previously known patterns of biochips were used.
