In 2001, Dr. Semyonova graduated from the Stavropol State Medical University. In 2001–2003, she was a clinical resident at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia; in 2003–2009 she studied at the PhD program at the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education, Ministry of Health of Russia. 

Scientific interests: oncological hematology (non-Hodgkin lymphomas, multiple myeloma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma).

Dr. Semyonova has authored 1 monograph, 10 scientific articles. She is a member of the editorial board of the Oncohematology journal.
